Swirling Trail (creative coding example)
For the very first assignment for this class I chose "Swirling Trail" as my creative project.
Here the artist Pablo Peña has used different sources such as SOP Solvers and VEX. He explains his project as points which looks like particles. However, to him they are not defined as particles.
The first thing he did was make a plane and apply noises to it to alter the position of its internal points, creating an irregular geometry, and each point becomes an axis on which an attribute would rotate and it guides the movement of the points within the SOP Solver, and each movement is registered with a trail that it leaves behind. As per my observation this projects resembles a lot of nature. In terms of sand and sand dunes. His use of the dark bold colors such as grey white's and blacks combine together very uniquely.
